Questions
The questions owners actually ask.
Will this actually work for an agency like mine?
Kordis connects three familiar jobs. The Recruiter moves applicants through screening to a hiring decision. The HR department handles onboarding, worker files, routine questions, renewals, and payroll preparation. The Dispatcher fills shifts and covers call-outs. You can open each tool, or ask the Concierge in Kordis and approve the prepared work before it goes out. Every completed action leaves a receipt.
Kordis goes deepest on warehouse and 3PL, food and beverage processing, and manufacturing and assembly. Industry changes the kind of site, the roles, work units, and language. Ontario, BC, and Alberta supply the legal and pay overlay. The actual client site, task, equipment, exposure facts, and policy determine assignment readiness. Those three provinces are the ones Kordis is built for today.
A general chatbot writes an answer without safely knowing your workers, clients, permissions, province, assignment facts, or message history. Kordis connects the staffing records, prepares supported calls, texts, and changes, and keeps the proof attached. The Concierge lets you make an ordinary request for Recruiter, HR, or Dispatcher work in Kordis, then shows you the plan before anything reaches a worker or a client.
No. The Recruiter, HR, and Dispatcher tools have ordinary screens when you want to work directly. When a task crosses them, ask the Concierge in Kordis with one sentence. It resolves the relevant records, prepares the work, and asks for your approval where the action affects people or money.
Who's in control, me or it?
No. That's by design, not by setting. Kordis stages the work and shows you exactly what it wants to do; nothing that touches money or people goes out without your OK. Every confirmed action leaves a receipt. Reversible operations can be undone; some records (like activity notes and messages) become part of your permanent history. Kordis shows you exactly what falls into each bucket. Kordis does the work. You make the decisions.
Every number it shows you carries a source you can click: the order, the shift, the timesheet it came from, in your own records. If there's no source, it says "I can't verify that" instead of guessing. And money figures are never written by the part of Kordis that writes sentences. They're computed from your records, full stop. The details are on our security page.
Before anything goes in, Kordis shows you a preview and you approve it. Once you're live, reversible steps (a staged confirmation, the wrong week's hours) carry a one-click undo, and you can see what's reversible before you hit OK. Records like transcripts and sent messages stay, so you always have the receipt.
The coordinator you have keeps her job. The phoning, the chasing, and the paperwork stop being hers. She keeps the judgment calls, the client relationships, and the work that actually needs a person.
Will my workers be all right with this?
The worker line
ExampleWhat time Saturday again?
You're on at 6:00 a.m. at Riverside DC, dock 4. Steel toes, hi-vis vest.
Can I get an advance this week?
I've passed that to the office. You'll hear back today.
FAQs answer themselves. Judgment calls come to you.
No. Mark someone a regular on a standing order and Kordis stops asking. They hold their line quietly, with no daily are-you-coming texts. Their only job is to text the same number when they can't come in; Kordis stages the cover and leaves you a receipt. Spot-fill workers still get normal confirmations, because for them the question is real.
Only the ones that need you. Worker Line answers the common questions (call times, addresses, what to bring) from your own records, on your agency's number. Anything that needs judgment, like an advance or a complaint, lands on your dashboard with the context attached.
Kordis brings the original call-out together with workers who pass the current assignment checks and prepares the exact outreach for your approval. After you approve, offers go out from your agency in order, replies are recorded, and the remaining offers stop once the open spots are claimed. If the message is ambiguous, Kordis brings you the raw text instead of guessing.
Kordis first sends a private check-in: “Are you OK?” That message is never a penalty. If there is no safe reply, Kordis keeps the original status visible and prepares qualified cover for your approval. Any attendance consequence, welfare concern, or judgment call stays with a person at the agency. Every no-show and on-time arrival is recorded against that worker, so fill rate and real show rate stay two numbers you can both see, not one.
Yes. When you tap Hire, the worker gets a link on their phone for your onboarding documents, policies, direct-deposit details, and role quiz. Kordis reads the return and keeps the evidence attached, but it does not turn a document into universal readiness. A receiving-employer assessment or site authorization that still needs a person remains visibly open.
Then they get one: you. Kordis answers the routine texts, confirmations, and directions on its own, and the moment a message needs judgment, it lands in front of you with the whole thread attached. Workers are never stuck arguing with a robot.
Is my data safe, and is this legal?
Most weeks, yes, and ADP is home turf. Drop in your hours report and payroll file; Five-Minute Payroll matches each worker, flags any needing a look, and hands back an ADP-ready file with employee numbers. Payworks, Wagepoint and QuickBooks work the same way, with Ontario, BC and Alberta stat pay worked out per province, shown line by line, WSIB clearance dates included. A first export can take longer while Kordis learns your files. Issuing pay stays with your payroll provider.
How money numbers are computed, never writtenIt doesn't have to. Your payroll provider, your accountant, your books and any ATS you like stay exactly where they are. Kordis hands them clean, matched, payroll-ready files instead of making you re-type anything. Many owners find Kordis absorbs the jobs their spreadsheets were doing, but you decide what to retire, and when. There is nothing to migrate and nothing to rip out.
What happens to your data if you leaveNo. Your data is used only to run your own account, never to train or fine-tune the technology that powers Kordis, and never sold. AI features process the records they need through our vetted providers (listed on our subprocessors page), and anything sensitive is staged for your approval first.
Every company that touches your dataWe hold no security certifications today, and we will not claim one until the report is in hand. What SOC 2 measures is already built in: worker details encrypted on arrival, every access logged permanently, and anything touching people or money staged for your approval. Our security page lists only what we can prove, at kordisai.com/security. Kordis runs staffing operations, not medical charts, so don't upload patient records. If your client's compliance team asks, we answer straight, in writing.
How long records are kept, and what the law requiresHow do I start, and what if I want to stop?
No IT project and no consultants: you create the account and follow the guided setup from agency basics to your first client and roster. How long depends on your roster size, the one step with real work. Bring your roster, client list, sites and rate sheets as CSV or Excel, however messy; Kordis previews each file before anything imports and you confirm what goes in. A real person is in workspace chat if you want a hand.
Two weeks free to start, with nothing charged during the trial. Then $249 a month for your first three months (the founding rate, stated plainly), and $499 a month after that. Flat and all-in for a typical agency, up to about 200 active workers; contact us for a larger-roster quote. No per-seat math, no per-call overages.
Sources point at your imported records, so they're only as good as the import. That's why setup includes a data-cleanup pass with us, and Kordis previews every file before anything goes in. And if a record changes after import (say a shift gets edited), the source badge shows the edit history instead of pretending it's the original. What you see is what actually happened.
Start with two weeks free on your real operation, with nothing charged during the trial. You'll watch it work on your real roster before you decide. After that, billing is month-to-month and you can cancel anytime for any reason, with your data exported whole. Trying Kordis is designed to be a safe, reversible decision for your agency.
